photo essay
The subject of my photo essay is Somerset Berkley Regional High School and I photographed places around the school and the signs. I selected this place because this is the high school I attend and it is where I spend most of my time and it is important to me because it is where I have learned and grown as a person. This portrays the concept of the excitements and activities that occur in the building. The images capture the learning space and the vital tools used by the students everyday. I visually unified this series with leading lines and the black and white color scheme.

Letter Forms
With this series of images I chose to create the appearance of my name, Sierra. I cropped all images to a 4 x 6 frame and rotated them to the correct letter position. The "I" was taken horizontally and the "E" was also taken horizontally with many other posts that I cropped out in photoshop. The second "R" has the most interesting and unexpected composition because of the common occurrence of the lamp post and how it is normally not perceived as the shape of an R. The direction and the size of the images unifies the letterforms along with the consistent scenery. If I were to repeat this assignment I would chose to spell my last name "Brown". This was a logical place to take these pictures because the school is where I spent most of my time and it represents the things I like to do around the building and outside.
